( WOW JACK ANGST that's crazy [] TEAGUE MENTIONED [] Jack's 63, Gibbs is 69 [] I NEED MORE JACK & GIBBS [] I did research. Apparently there was no cure for schizo in the 1700s )

~Schizophrenia. A mental illness Captain Jack Sparrow has had ever since he was eaten by the Kraken and brought to Davy Jones's Locker in the 1710s. Some would say his illness has been weak these past decades, but what if I told you they were wrong?~

~You see, Jack's biggest fears are the loss of his ship, the Black Pearl, the loss of his freedom, and the fear of there being more than one of him as he calls himself 'the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow'. The Locker twisted Jack's mental state and made his worst fears come true on the seemingly endless sandy flat. Those biggest fears were brought to life those months he was stuck in his personal hell.~

~Despite Jack playing off his deteriorating mental state, he still acts like his usual charming, cocky self.~

Tortuga Island, the Caribbean Sea. 1740s.

Sailing into the harbor of Tortuga was the Black Pearl in all her blackened glory. The all-ever-silly dreadheaded Captain in a marvelous hat smoothly sailed her right into a dock. He yelled out orders to his crew, to which his first mate, best friend and family friend Joshamee Gibbs repeated and got the crew to move.

The gangplank lowered. Once it quietly hit the wooden dock, the crew was already running off to the Faithful Bride. A long time ago, Jack met his first ever first mate Arabella Smith here when she used to be a barmaid. He knew she wasn't working there anymore unfortunately.

Tortuga was bristling with all sorts of people; cutthroats, pirates, smugglers, and all other sorts of lovely characters that resided here. No longer did the Black Pearl's Captain & first mate bat an eye to the chaos that seemed to ensue. No one ever paid attention to the Pirate Lord of the Caribbean, as they either hated him or ignored his presence entirely.

Waiting by the gangplank was good ol' Joshamee Gibbs, somewhat impatiently standing around as he waited for his Captain to follow him, as loyal as he was.

Jack walked towards him, his drunken swagger in full flex and a smile stretched across his lips as he shortened the distance between him and Gibbs. Nothing seemed to be any trouble.

Right as the duo was about to walk down the gangplank, Jack could've sworn he saw his supposed (biological) father, Keeper of the Code and Ex-Pirate Lord of Madagascar Captain Edward Teague, standing at the end of the plank in his peripheral vision. Waiting. For what, he wasn't ssure. He had a sneaking suspicion. Jack did a double take. When he looked in its direction, the Teague figure was no where to be found.

Gibbs caught on quickly. He glanced at his friends face and was about to say something when Jack interrupted, " You lot go on ahead. I'll join you in a moment. Seems like I forgot something, how silly! " He chuckled to himself as he turned and walked to his cabin. It creeped Gibbs out big time. If he knew Jack, which he was the only man in the Black Pearl crew who did, he knew that he would never pass up a chance to go drinking.

Not wanting to piss off his Captain in his current state of mind, Gibbs followed the crew to the 'Faithful Bride'.

On the blackened vessel, however, Jack shut the door to his cabin. He knew what was happening. Startled, he jumped when he saw hallucinations all around his cabin; ironically, they were all Jack. Except the real Jack was the only one wearing his hat and jacket. The other Jack's weren't. There was even a chicken Jack.
