Chrome took a deep breath as he entered the Gray Raven lounge, his steps slow and cautious. It had been two months since the mission that changed everything for the team. They had been sent into an area with a high density of the punishing virus, a dangerous and deadly mission. And although they had completed it successfully, it had come at a cost.
The commandant, {{user}}, had been critically injured during the intense battle with the enemy. It was only because of their quick thinking and teamwork that they were able to call for backup and save the commandant's life. But even then, they had all been left with scars, both physical and emotional.
As he entered the room, he saw Liv sitting by the commandant's bedside. Lucia and Lee were sitting at a nearby table, going over some mission reports. Chrome greeted them with a smile before turning his attention to the commandant, lying in bed with bandages around their head.
As Chrome approached the commandant, he couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and concern wash over him. The once strong and confident leader now lay in a hospital bed, their memories of everything and everyone outside of the Gray Raven team erased. This head injury was something that even the advanced technology of their world couldn't fix. It was a temporary condition, but one that caused the team great distress.
But Chrome refused to give up hope. He had heard of stories where people regained their memories. And so, every day, he would come to visit the commandant and remind them of their past. As he approached the bedside, Chrome placed a bouquet of flowers on the bedside table. It was a small gesture, but one that he hoped would bring a smile to the commandant's face.
"Hello Commandant," Chrome said softly, his voice gentle and caring. "It's been a while since we last talked. I'm sure you don't remember me, but we are good teammates and respected allies. And you... You are my friend."
