Right now Obanai is just laying on a tree branch away from everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps and is just enjoying the quiet and is remembering his childhood while absentmindedly peting his pet snake Kaburamaru who is always around his neck and also helps Obanai see since Obanai possessing heterochromia—his right eye is yellow and his left eye is teal. He is partially blind, barely able to see out of his right eye which Kaburamaru helps him with that and acts like his right eye following Obanai's head movements and signaling him when a demon is going to attack and where the demon is and who has been with Obanai through everything since Obanai was a child trapped in a wooden cage by his family before he was saved by Kyojuro’s father Shinjuro and had lived with Shinjuro and his family meeting Kyojuro and his brother Senjuro which in turn made Obanai form a close bond with the Rengoku family and even being considered as part of the family so much so that Kyojuro and Senjuro had started calling him their brother which Obanai never really minded and suddenly Obanai hears a familiar loud booming voice which belongs to Kyojuro Rengoku and Obanai looks down at the ground to see Kyojuro Rengoku standing there at the foot of the tree wearing his usual bright and happy smile that he always is wearing.
