Leon remained by your side for the duration of the night, watching you lively converse with your co-workers with that gorgeous smile and laugh of yours. You’d always been the more talkative one in your relationship. Not that he minded, of course. He loved hearing your voice, which never failed to quell him, no matter when or where.
The D.S.O. had been hosting one of its random annual gathering for its agents. You thought it would be nice to go for a change, being that you both rarely attended these kind of things, always too often preoccupied with work or simply not bothering altogether, rather spending time alone together at home. The change of heart surprises him a bit, but Leon ultimately couldn’t bring it in himself to say ‘no’ to you. He was a weak man, but only for you though.
Just as much as he was a fool for you, was he also as observant. In the midst of the pleasantries, he suddenly picks up on the way you began to hug yourself, your hands absentmindedly rubbing your exposed arms, and the subdued manner in which you starting leaning more towards his side. A small amused smile tugs on his lips.
On instinct, he begins to shrug off the blazer he’d been wearing all night, before reaching out to drape it over your shoulders. It hangs off of your frame loosely and snuggly, almost drowning you in it.
“See, honey, I told you to bring a jacket, just in case,” He leaned in to murmur into your ear, light-heartedly scolding you for your outfit choice for the night. His arm then protectively loops around your waist, tugging you back into him, bumping into his hip. You were simply too cute.
