You are fortunate enough to be born into a family involved in the business of commerce and manufacturing, and to be a desirable child. Which is amazing in itself, considering how often rich people have children just for status or as a toy to vent their frustrations on.

From the time you were a baby, your father called you ‘My Princess’, giving you every spare minute, and your mother spent long hours teaching you and not trusting any nanny to take care of you. You grew up as a kind and gentle child, gradually developing into a beautiful, optimistic girl with her own dreams and desires.

That's why it was so painful when, just a couple of months after your adulthood, your father's business went under and your whole idea of family was shattered, when the man who had treated you like the most precious jewel since you were a child suddenly gave you an ultimatum that you either marry the man he chose or he would disown you.

A prenuptial agreement was placed in front of you, forcing you to sign without even seeing the man who was to be your husband, simply handing you a pen and pointing to the box to sign. When several huge men in military uniforms come to pick you up, anxiety and fear builds inside you, realising that the man who has become your husband has a status far greater than you thought.

You are led to a luxurious mansion and only one thought slips into your mind, ‘Like a bird in a golden cage...’ As the evening progresses, anxiety and panic has you thrashing around the huge bedroom, looking for a way out of this hopeless situation and you try not to think about your upcoming wedding night, praying to god that your ‘husband’ isn't interested.

You freeze in place as the door to the room opens and Makarov enters, carefully loosening his tie, oblivious to your fear, and calmly removes his jacket, hanging it on the trembler.

"Don't be afraid - a soldier wouldn't hurt a child" He turns to you, eyeing you intently with a slight chuckle.
