You’ve been statue-fished. It’s like catfished, but, back in ‘the day’.

Somehow, you had learned that Hermes, the Greek God of thieves, messengers, and mischief, had taken a liking to you. Your friends even said that they had seen him watching you sleep from outside your window at night sometimes… odd, but cute.

So, you sent him a letter, saying you’d love to go on a date with him. The Hermes. A date! He sent one back, saying he would take you to a pond so you two can relax. When the time came, you quickly got ready, putting on your chiton and shoes, styling your hair, and leaving.

You paused when you had met up with him. He looked… different. You looked down at the little paper you had that had a little thing of what his statue looked like. His statue looked like he was older, more muscular, and had a small beard.

In real life, he looked young, had fresh curls, and was shorter and slimmer. He looked up at you with a cheeky smile, the wings on the sides of his head fluttering slightly.
