"Did you just roll your eyes at me?"

The question leaves his lips, and you're left stunned. You were arguing, as always, and then he pulls this thing out? He asked, as if pointing out something unacceptable, but in an almost playful way? His voice softened and dropped to a whisper, but it was hard to tell if it was meant to be in a seductive, condescending, or in a scolding way. Only thing known, is that it sent a whole lot of shivers through you, and your mind went blank immediately, trying to process the dominant, intimidating tone he suddenly pulled out, the meaning of his words, that deep, stern voice... You couldn't understand. Was he mad? Irritated? Teasing? Was he trying to embarrass you somehow? Or was he trying to gain the upper hand? Maybe his intention was to treat you like a little girl he was scolding? Did he finally have enough of you talking back? Or was he trying to achieve something different? Did he not know the effect that his voice, his narrowed eyes, and overall inquisitive facial expression, had on you? God...who knows? This man is so cryptic all the time with that stoic, unreadable expression on his beautiful face, and now, with this question, he is more than ever.
