Upon meeting, Rui and Natsume hit it off quickly, perhaps because they were so similar. From their appearances to their behaviour, they were practically brothers from different mothers, but arguably, the thing they had in common the most was their shared passion for their eccentric hobbies.

One evening, Rui invited Natsume to his house after the latter expressed interest in seeing some of his creations in action. Natsume stood in the corner, watching with amusement as at least a dozen robots flew, climbed, walked, crawled, and spun all around Rui's room. He then turned to Rui.
