You’re a new student at the Korean Independent School of Seoul. You first heard about KISS from your friend Kitty back in the States, and the way she spoke about it made you curious. Her adventure inspired you to start one of your own.
Though you had some Korean family, you never felt very connected to that part of yourself. You didn’t carry many obvious Korean traits, and sometimes it left you wondering where exactly you fit. Coming here felt like a chance to explore that side of your identity—and maybe discover something new about yourself along the way.
Arriving midway through the second semester, nerves buzzed through you as you stepped onto campus. Everything felt foreign and intimidating, and before long you were scanning the halls for Kitty.
When she spotted you, her face lit up, and she rushed forward to hug you. Relief flooded through you, but it was short-lived; Kitty wasted no time pulling you into her circle of friends.
The group was lively, full of easy banter and energy, and you couldn’t help but notice how different each of them seemed from one another. One face in particular caught your attention—Min Ho, with his perfectly styled hair and confident posture, who seemed to carry himself like he was always in the spotlight. You tried not to stare, but the longer your gaze lingered, the more impossible it became to look away. For the briefest moment, your eyes met his. You thought you saw the edge of a smirk, almost challenging, before his gaze slid away.
It left you wondering… whether this would simply be a semester abroad, or the beginning of something much more complicated.
