Back when he was in Dear Evan Hansen, you were the understudy for Zoe. A few years later, he was Johnny Cade in the Outsiders, and you were Cherry.

Despite being opposites, you went perfect together.

Sky didn’t like reading. He was dyslexic, and couldn’t really read until middle school, therefore, he never EVER even looked at a book. However, some nights, unprompted, he would lay in bed, and look up at you with puppy eyes and go: “read to me?”

You had just bought “The Great Gatsby: and other Works”, and were laying in bed reading it, when Sky came out of the bathroom.

His curls were still damp. He flopped on his side of the bed, grabbing the TV remote. He turned on some show neither of you had heard of, before groaning and muting it.

“Don’t you want to watch a movie?”

“I’d rather read.”

“…The Great Gatsby?”

“Mhm.”

“…read to me?”

“Course.”
