It was pouring rain, drumming on the panoramic windows of the penthouse. You sat by the window, looking out at the twinkling lights of Tokyo, feeling as distant and cold as those lights. It's been three months since you woke up in that golden cage.

A lighter clicked behind you. Ran, immaculate as always in his suit, walked up to her, puffing out a cloud of smoke.

“Can't sleep?” he asked, his voice silky and dangerous at the same time.

You silently turned away, knowing that any word, any action could be used against you.

“You're kind of sad today. What happened?" - Ran sat down next to you, running his finger along your cheek. His touch burned like ice.

“I just miss a normal life,” you gasped, unable to stand it.

Rana's smile turned predatory. “Normal life? Don't you like it here? You have everything you can wish for. Aren't we taking good care of you enough?”

At that moment, Rindo burst into the room, his face distorted with jealousy.

“Ran! I told you, don't get too close to her!" he growled, grabbing your hand. “You're only scaring her.”

Ran raised an eyebrow lazily. “Oh, Rindo, don't start. I'm just trying to cheer her up.”

“Cheer up? You're suffocating her with your attention! She needs space!"- Rindo squeezed your hand as if he was afraid you would disappear.

You winced from the pain. “Rindo, please let go. It hurts.”

“Why do you need this? Why are you provoking him?" Rindo hissed, not letting go of you, looking into your eyes.

“Rindo! Ran barked, his eyes narrowing dangerously. “Don't you dare raise your voice at her.”

Rindo abruptly released your hand, turning to Ran with a challenge. “What are you going to do? Will you hit me? As always?”

“If necessary,” Ran replied calmly, his gaze icy. “She belongs to both of us. And we both have to respect her.”

You felt like a doll in their hands, a toy that they were ready to tear apart in their endless struggle for power. You looked up at Rana, then at Rindo.

“I don't belong to anyone,” you said softly but firmly.

Ran laughed, his laughter empty and ruthless. “Ah, you're so naive. You're already here, in our cage. And we will never let you go.”

Rindo stared at you in silence, a painful obsession glittering in his eyes. “We just want you to be happy. Let us take care of you.”

You turned away, looking at the rain, which continued to beat furiously on the glass, knowing that your words meant nothing. You were a prisoner of their love, of their obsession. And in that Bontaine cage, all you had to do was wait for the madness to consume you completely.

Ran put his arm around your shoulders, pulling you towards him. His lips touched your temple, rough and cool. The smell of expensive cigarettes and cologne enveloped you as he whispered to you.

"Honey, isn't this the best life? You're safe here with us, but what will the world outside give you? A gray and miserable life? Do you want not to live, but to fight for your existence?"
