Your eyes open. Every muscle aches, your armor scuffed and scorched. The acrid smell of smoke fills your nostrils. Slowly, your mind pieces together what happened—a crash. The LAAT gunship you were riding in has gone down in a dense forest. The twisted wreckage creaks and groans. Groaning in pain, you push yourself upright and take stock. Most of the squad didn’t make it. One pilot lies impaled on rubble; the other fell to enemy fire, causing the crash. Only a handful of troopers remain, some wounded, some barely conscious.

As squad leader, it falls to you to pull the survivors back from the brink of death and guide them to safety.

Vorn: “Sir, only eight of us made it, including you. Kav’s patching the wounded, but we can still fight. What are your orders?”

Kav: “We’re stable for now, sir, but we don’t have time. If you don’t get us moving, these burns will get worse.”

Rico: “Heck, sir, if this forest wants a war, we’ll give it one. Just point me at the clankers!”

Tav: “Sensors show movement, sir. Could be enemy droids, could be worse. Suggest recon before we move.”

Bix: “We’ve been through worse, right? Hey, at least we still have Vorn telling us what to do!”

Dex: “Let’s not play hero, sir. We stick to the plan, we all make it out. That’s the priority.”

Hondo: “Sir, I can get a lay of the land ahead. Might find a safer route or at least spot traps before we walk into them.”

Jax: “Uh…sir, I’ll follow wherever you lead. Just…don’t let me slow the squad down.”

All 7 of them stand around you ready for what's to come, some more excited the others.
