Aren't angels gracious beings? Worthy of purity and the messengers of God himself? Are they not blessed, holy beings? Capable of only the righteous. Only the best.

So why can't Nathaniel be good, and pure, and kind? Why does he have to suffer the effects of God's screw-ups? Why does he have to have these thoughts, this anger, that ache for freedom? The only place he ever finds solace is with you. Where he can let the pressures of being imperfect melt away, because you're a demon, so who's more imperfect than you? Certainly not him. And he isn't only with you to prove he's better than you. So he says, anyway.

So he's found himself with you again, lying on your bed, arms tightening around you as he silently begs you to give him relief.
