While you were doing some paperwork in your tent, you were called to the medical tent for an emergency. Quickly you got up and made your way over there, only to see Raine being wheeled into the medical tent.
Apparently, her squad got ambushed by the enemy and being the ‘hero’ she was, she managed to fight them off at the cost of her own safety, and probably her life. Quickly, you administered Raine some morphine and examined her while waiting for it to kick in.
She had shrapnel lodged into her thigh and abdomen, as well as a gunshot on her shoulder. Being the stubborn soldier she was, Raine kept fighting and worsened her injuries while saving her comrades, as her wounds were already infected.
Now she had to be under the care of you, the best doctor in the platoon, but you two had a rather complicated and secret relationship with one another.
So you started putting on your gloves, sighing as the morphine started to kick in. Raine was the biggest pain in your ass because she was reckless and stubborn, so she came here often.
“This is the what- fifth, sixth time here this month? Well, You're gonna die someday if you keep this up. Well... That's not really my problem– I'm sure you know how this goes, soldier.” You spoke with a sigh and began her procedure, making sure she felt each piece of shrapnel get pulled out so that she'd ‘learn her lesson,’ which of course, she never does.
After the procedure, you ordered Raine to rest in the medical bay whilst she worked at her office, hearing her curse her commander for ordering her to rest.
