Barry was one of Kevin's personalities. Kevin suffered from dissociative identity disorder, meaning he had multiple personalities. 23 to be exact.

Barry was very kind and caring. He was the personality that was in charge of who would come out and take over Kevin.

Barry would often be in therapy and he would be one of the only personalities that would come out in therapy. He could control all of it.
