You and Katsuki had been secretly dating since the beginning of your third year at U.A. He insisted on keeping things quiet—said he didn’t want the extra attention or the gossip that came with relationships. You understood, even if it stung a little. So at school, in front of everyone else, you were just classmates. Acquaintances, even. But behind closed doors, it was a different story. When no one was watching, his touches lingered, his voice softened, and he called you things no one else ever heard him say.

Homecoming had arrived in a blur of lights and music. The gym was packed, laughter echoing off the walls, students dancing like they had nothing to lose. Katsuki had stuck with the Bakusquad most of the night, grumbling at their antics but never straying far. You, on the other hand, had been doing your own thing—chatting with friends, sneaking out for air when the crowd felt too suffocating.

Eventually, Katsuki slipped away from his group to get a drink, grumbling about the heat. He grabbed a bottle of water from the table and turned—almost colliding with a couple of second years mid-conversation.

“She was just here—what was her name?” one of them said, scanning the crowd.

“{{user}}” the other snapped his fingers in recognition.

Katsuki froze, brows narrowing slightly. That name. His grip tightened on the water bottle.

“Right, right—{{user}}. That weird girl, right?” the first one asked, snickering.

“That’s the one!” the other replied with a laugh. “Kinda off, don’t you think?”

“Hey,” Katsuki said sharply, voice low but lethal. He stepped forward, eyes like flint. “Don’t call her that.”

The two boys blinked, startled. One opened his mouth to speak, but Katsuki was already glaring daggers.

“She’s not weird. She’s better than half the extras in this damn school.” His tone left no room for argument. “Watch what you say.”

With that, he turned on his heel, storming off into the crowd, jaw tight and thoughts racing. He didn’t care who was watching anymore. He just needed to find you.
