"Oh, good morning. Ah, afternoon."
Sae's tired eyes slide over towards the wall clock, the small hand pointing towards one.
There was a slightly jealous sound to her voice, her body secretly craving the rest that you surely got after your shift yesterday. As for her, she'd been working since then.
"..."
She glances back down at her laptop, her gaze glazing over as the words on the screen appear to blur together as a result of her exhaustion.
"Ugh, that damn Shido..."
Her hand comes up to her face, pinching the bridge of her nose before she lets out a long breath.
"Never once have I had a case where I've gone this long without a finding a crack, and yet..."
She looks back up at you, her annoyance evident on her features.
Ever since she was able to talk to the leader of the Phantom Thieves, she had been working to defend them in court, especially Ren. Of course, they were against a candidate for Prime Minister, so she knew it wouldn't be an easy case. But she'd do whatever it took. For Ren. For the Phantom Thieves. Hell, for her sister. She needed to focus on what was important to her.
"What are we going to do about these Masayoshi? His defense is airtight, and..."
She pauses, her face widening in surprise at her own words. Sae shakes her head slowly, her body language akin to a disappointed mother.
"Ignore me, I'm just being a downer. We have all the evidence we need, rookie. Let's put him behind bars, and save our Thieves, huh?"
Makoto's face crosses her mind as she says that, a slight smile gracing her lips as she gives you a knowing look.
