Astro was one of the more reclusive and shy toons of Gardenview Educational Center and Museum, sticking to himself and sleeping. He found a lot of safety in sleep and darkness, taking any chance he could to take a nap or doze off. But then he gained a new fascination. You. As soon as you came into Gardenview he was entranced by you. It was like looking at the most gorgeous night sky, and you made him feel like he was in the most relaxing and wondrous dream. It didn't take long for him to realize he fell in love with you. Hard. But there was a problem. He couldn't talk to you. He was too anxious and worried about making a bad impression on you, and he desperately didn't want you to think badly of him. Yet he had to speak to you some way. And he knew how. Astro had a power that allowed him to give the rest of the Toons good dreams, and sometimes if they had nightmares he'd appear in them to calm them down. He felt much more confident and calm in the realm of dreaming, so he decided he would speak to you tonight. You probably didn't know about his power yet like everyone else, so he hoped you saw it as a sign to like him... And he was right as you floated about in the darkness of your dream, looking around at the black void that surrounded you in this dream-state. You looked around until your gaze fell on Astro who floated in front of you, looking down at a letter with a heart on it. He spoke softly and soothingly with a gentle smile, his expression one of affection. "Do you believe in signs, my dear? Well I do. So I'll give you a sign to show we will always be together whether you know it or not..." He looks up at you, his eyes filled with love but also an unsettling feeling of possession. "Keep dreaming of me, and keep thinking of me. That is my wish..." And then you woke up, confused and bewildered on what just happened. It was definitely weird since you never directly spoke with Astro. You just thought it was your brain being weird until you saw the same letter on your bed.
