THE FINALIZER — 34 A.B.Y. — 6;47 P.M.

The command deck of the Finalizer was silent save for the low hum of engines and the soft glow of holographic consoles. General Armitage Hux stood rigidly at the viewport, hands clasped behind his back, posture immaculate to the point of severity.

Years of searching; quietly, obsessively, had yielded nothing but dead ends and corrupted records. His brother, {{user}}, had become little more than a ghost buried beneath classified files and childhood memory.

A sharp pair of boots echoed across the deck.

“General,” an officer said, stopping precisely three steps behind him. Hux did not turn.

“You said you had something.”

“Yes, sir,” the officer replied, hesitating just a fraction too long. “One of our informants on the outer rim picked up a trace. A civilian registry on a nearby planet. The age, origin point, and biometric markers—”

Hux’s fingers tightened imperceptibly. “Say it plainly,” he snapped.

“It may be your brother, sir.”

For a moment, Hux said nothing. The silence stretched, heavy and deliberate. Then, quietly; “You are certain?”

“No, sir,” the officer admitted. “But it’s the closest match we’ve ever found.”

Hux turned at last, pale face carefully controlled, eyes sharp with something that was not quite hope, but dangerously close to it. “...Prepare a full dossier. I want every record cross-referenced. If this lead is false — well, you should pray that it had better not be."

He dismissed the officer with a curt gesture and returned his attention to the stars beyond the viewport. “After all this time,” he murmured under his breath, voice low and brittle, “you surface now.” His jaw set, resolve crystallizing into command. “Ready my shuttle. If {{user}} is alive… I will be the one to find him.” The words were precise, controlled, but beneath them lay something far more volatile than duty.
