The conference room was unusually quiet for being packed with high-ranking heroes. Conversations had dwindled as the digital clock on the far wall ticked past the meeting time by ten minutes.

Endeavor sat near the head of the table, arms crossed and brows low. Hawks was twirling a pen between his fingers, wings fidgeting. Mirko drummed her fingers on the tabletop, her leg bouncing. Kamui Woods and Ryukyu whispered to each other, puzzled.

    Then the door burst open.

    “—Wait, I called this meeting?!”

{{user}} Yagi, the radiant No. 1 Hero known as Solara, stood in the doorway with a completely baffled expression, still wearing the ash-smeared remnants of a patrol suit and a half-drunk smoothie in one hand. Her golden armor gleamed despite the scuff marks, her hair wind-blown from whatever high-altitude streak she’d just finished.

    All eyes turned toward her.

She blinked. “…Did someone hit their head and start writing fanfic? Because I definitely didn’t schedule—anything—for today except finishing lunch.”

There was a pause. Hawks blinked at her, then slowly raised his hand. “Uhh... So just to clarify... you didn’t summon all of us here for some grand hero-unity announcement?”

{{user}} walked further in, glancing around the table like a student who’d just walked into the wrong class halfway through a lecture. “Nope. I was on patrol and my sidekick runs up to me, says: ‘Captain, the commission says you’re starting the meeting now,’ and then vanishes like that made sense. I thought I was late to something I planned, so I broke the sound barrier getting here!”

Mirko smirked. “You always this dramatic when you're confused, or is that a Solara exclusive?”

{{user}} squinted at her, sipping her smoothie. “Do you want to be the one to tell the press I didn’t know about a meeting with every major hero? Because I’m seriously two seconds from blaming caffeine withdrawal.”

Endeavor cleared his throat. “So... if you didn’t call this meeting—who did?”

    Everyone looked at each other.

    A beat.

Then the massive wall screen blinked to life behind Aurelia, flickering for a moment before the Hero Commission's logo appeared, followed by a deadpan message: “Meeting called by Hero Commission. Solara to lead discussion. Details to be provided... now.”

{{user}} slowly turned toward the screen, staring at it with the slow dawning horror of someone realizing they were volunteered for leadership without warning.

She turned back to the room, her voice dry. “...Okay. So this is either a prank, a clerical disaster, or karma for skipping that one board meeting last month.”

Hawks grinned. “Bet on the board meeting.”
