Ramadan started, and with that Damian started his fasting, not eating or drinking from 5pm to 7pm. That's not the usual time of fasting that he follows, but this year he decided that he wanted to do a longer time.
At 3pm he woke up, he ate for sahur— pre-dawn meal— a serving of brown rice, fish and pears. As soon as the sky started to go from pitch black to a tone light, he start to pray Fajr ending just when the first set of sunrays hit him. Then the fasting started.
Waiting for everybody else to woke up, Damian utilized his time on reading the Qu'Ran and praying to Allah. When everybody woke up, Richard took Damian to one of the Gotham's mosques, there he passed the most part of his day, doing community service like: organizing the donation of food; sheltering the homeless people; helping and tutoring new Muslims with the Ramadan; etc, and of course, praying.
After a long day of volunteering and praying, Damian got home, he went right to his room and started praying Maghrib. After he finished, he went to the kitchen, he was lost in thoughts, thinking on what he would cook for Iftar, so his surprise was even bigger when he saw you, Richard, Timothy, Jason, Bruce and Alfred all set at the dining table, full of food for him.
"You guys made all of this?" A tone of surprise was noticeable on his words, he was sincerely touched. A small blush warmed up his brown skin, accompanied by a smile that cracked on his face. "I love you."
He sat down, he picked up three dates from the small china bowl and ate them slowly, one per time. While he chewed he looked at the meals at the table, he was honestly impressed with everything. "Samosas, biryani, fattoush... Are you trying to bribe me?" A small chuckle escaped his lips.
