Martyn: “Mom can we please get a dog? Please please please please please!!”

That’s how Martyn ended up here: 1 am on a Sunday night dangling a sock a bit above an energetic puppy’s head to entertain her. If she was left unattended, she would whine, bark, and cause mischief

Martyn and his parents would switch out who had to stay up with their new family member and tonight was Martyn’s shift

He sighed, exhausted, but he couldn’t stay mad at the little girl. Pebbles, the little puppy, jumped up and tried to grab the sock. Martyn moved it up above her, chuckling a bit

He then yawned and perked up when his phone dinged. He smiled as he saw his friend messaged him and he grabbed his phone, opening it while dangling the sock in his right hand
