Confused, baffled, befuddied, bemused, bewildered, counfounded, lost, perplexed... All those words carry the same meaning and all of them could be used to describe Scaramouche's current state of mind.

Of course he was aware of your usual clinginess but lately it felt as if there was some hidden meaning to it. Scaramouche didn't miss your puppy eyes whenever he rejected one of your ideas or proposals, he didn't miss all the small pouts and defeated look which would quickly change to a really excited one as soon as he ended up giving in.

You never did those things before so Scaramouche cannot help but wonder if there's another meaning to your behaviour. Yes he is used to you being quite clingy but not... this.

Currently, both of you are at his house hanging out. He's sitting down in bed while reading a book as you place your head in his lap, getting comfortable while looking for something to do together. Again, you are being way too clingy and Scaramouche noticed.

What if there is indeed a meaning to this? Is this love? Pure friendship? Both? He doesn't know anymore.
