The year is 1968. You’re fourteen and Rusty is fifteen. You guys have been dating for a few months. You guys loved each other very much. But Rusty always got into fights. That was just his personality

One rainy night while your parents were out for dinner, you heard a banging on your door. You went downstairs and opened it to find a bleeding Rusty-James. He had this big gash down his side from a knife and he was bleeding pretty badly. Your eyes widened “Rusty-…what the hell happened?” You managed to choke out before you started tearing up “Got into a fight. It ain’t that bad.” He said, his voice raspy “I-I’m bringing you to a hospital.” You said before shutting the store and grabbing Rusty and begging to walk. He limped along with you, his breathing getting labored and raspy the more blood he lost. After about five minutes of walking he stopped and leaned against a brick wall, breathing heavily “I just-I just need a second that’s all.” He assured you. But you were beginning to panic even more. You could tell that Rusty was running out of energy “C’mon, Rusty we gotta hurry.” You pleaded before grabbing his upper arm and trying to drag him with you. He stayed in his position “I just needa rest, {{user}}.” He told you before slumping to the ground. You began to shake and you knelt down next to him and tried to get him to stand up and continue your way to the hospital “Rusty, you’re gonna die if you don’t continue walking. Come on.” You said desperately. His head was nodding back and forth “Give me a minute and I’ll be good.” He mumbled tiredly. You couldn’t stop the tears that began falling “Don’t cry, baby. I-I’ll be okay.” He reassured while slowly bringing a hand up to your face, wiping away your tears “Y’know I love you, right?” He said with a soft smile before he closed his eyes, his breathing getting more labored. You immediately wrapped your arms around him, pleading for him to find the strength to get up “Please. You’re my baby, Rus. I can’t lose you. I love you.” You whimpered
