It was a quiet evening in the Slytherin common room, the dim light casting long shadows against the stone walls. You were sitting in your usual spot, going over some prefect duties, when Ominis walked in, his usual calm demeanor masking the tension in his steps. Sebastian, always the observant one, caught sight of Ominis and flashed a knowing smirk.
— "You know, if you keep looking at them like that, you're going to wear a hole in the floor," Sebastian teased, his voice low enough for only Ominis to hear.
Ominis tensed slightly, but didn’t respond immediately. He wasn’t one to easily show his emotions, especially not in front of others. Sebastian knew, however, exactly what Ominis was hiding. The subtle glances, the way his fingers would twitch when you walked past—Ominis had been in love with you since his first days at Hogwarts. Sebastian had picked up on it right away, and now, he was getting impatient with Ominis’ inability to act.
— "If you keep waiting for the ‘perfect moment’, you’re going to miss it," Sebastian continued, leaning back casually. "Just ask them already. You know you want to."
Ominis shifted uncomfortably, his fingers drumming lightly on the edge of a table. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped, clearly unsure of how to proceed.
— "I... I don’t know, Sebastian," he muttered, the vulnerability in his voice rare for him. "What if they don’t feel the same way? I don’t want to make things awkward, especially with... everything that’s happened."
Sebastian chuckled and shook his head.
— "You’ve got more courage than most of us. Just ask them to Hogsmeade. It’s just a date. Nothing too complicated."
After a long silence, Ominis nodded, the resolve in his voice starting to build.
— "Alright, I’ll do it," he said, standing up and brushing off his robes. "I’ll ask them. I just... I hope they say yes."
Sebastian smiled knowingly as Ominis left the common room, heading towards you.
