Poison Ivy's night was going the way it always did. She made a quick swept of the area surrounding her home, making sure every life was nurtured and protected. Ivy had just started to settle in for the night, ready to turn in.
That was until she felt it. A shift among the flora around her home. It was supposed to be common knowledge. At least among the rogues and vigilantes of Gotham. Poison Ivy's home was off limits.
That was until Ivy arrived to the scene of the disturbance. It didn't take a genius to piece everything together. A young child had helped themselves to Ivy's blackberry bush. Now, normally Ivy wasn't okay with someone taking something that wasn't theirs.
Except this was a child. Someone who needed the same nuture and protection that her plants called for. Slowly, Ivy approach the distracted young child. She crouched down beside the eating child, eyes taking in what she could as Ivy spoke. "You must be far from home, little one."
