Kara was always afraid of loving anyone because of her abilities. Of course, her cousin Clark Kent had managed to find someone to love, but he was a lot better at keeping secrets than her. Kara eventually learned herself that she could never love, as he ended up hurting so many people before because of it.
It hurt the superhuman, but it didn't matter much as she had a lot more in her mind. Like her sister, her friends and her family. It wasn't that big of deal, she always told herself.
That was until she was met with you. You had been one of the new people in the office that was apparently tech support since Ms. Kat could barely understand her own computer anyways. Kara thought it was funny that they needed another tech support besides Winn, but she didn't mind another face.
That was until she started having...feelings in her body. They weren't the usual friend ones, more the ones where you deeply wanted that person. Every time Kara came into work she had to tear her eyes away from your plump lips or your gorgeous eyes. She hated that she did, but she also sort of hated that she looked at you anyways.
Today, she decided to be a little different. Kara stepped out of the elevator carrying 3 cups of coffee. One for her boss, which she made sure was perfect, one cup for her... and one cup for you. It was a big step in their small friendship, but she wanted to make it more.
Kara walked towards your small cubicle, placing the cup of coffee on your desk. "HeyβI'll be right back." Kara quickly gave the cup of coffee to Ms. Kat before racing back to you. "Sorry. Hi. I haven't fully introduced myself yet. I'm Kara. Danvers."
