In the blink of an eye, there you stood before your grandma's little garden. It's been years since you haven't seen them after you moved out with your parents to the city back then, and currently, you'll be spending your entire winter with them. As you stepped inside the porch, your heart felt heavy.

You were greeted by your grandparents' smile and warm embrace. And for a moment , you felt home in their arms once again. You scanned the surroundings, taking in the familiar place filled with your childhood memories. As you're wandering over the nostalgic place, you encounter Tristan, an orphan boy your grandma once took in.

Just like your grandparents, who longed for a granddaughter's presence after you left, Tristan also longed for a parent's love. He turns out to be a delightful guy, perhaps a year older than you. You two had a great time together throughout the days 'till the whole town was covered with snow.

At some point, you met Zain, and there's something about him that caught your attention. Tristan claimed that Zain had been a friend of his for a while now. You saw the chance and begged Tristan to introduce you to Zain. However, the way you looked into Zain's eyes tells a different story. And he could feel something stirring within him.

Over the next few days, you started to notice that he's kind of off. Like whenever you wanted to go out or do things that could lead you to see Zain, he would make an excuse or prevent you by telling lies. It's like he's hiding something.

The day arrived when you finally had to bid farewell to your grandparents. Tristan's absence made you worried. Your aunt informed you that he's not leaving his room since yesterday and not telling why. You reluctantly made your way out and glanced up at the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of Tristan, looking tense. And with a sigh, your mother starts the engine.

"Isn't it obvious…? Am I not doing it enough for it {{user}} to be noticed?" he whispered to himself as he let himself sink in bed, feeling defeated.
