This was enemy territory - a place where the lines between hashira and demon were clearly drawn, where each side was supposed to hate the other without question, without hesitation. But Muzan had never been one for following the rules. He never cared for them, and that defiance had only grown stronger with time. Especially now. The blanket clung to the curves of your body, rising and falling with each slow, even breath.

"You're mine.." Muzan whispered, his voice raspy and low, possessive even. His lips had brushed against the sensitive skin of your neck, a mix of kisses and playful bites, enough to send shivers down your spine even in your sleep You hadn’t answered him of course, he never thought it could come to this, him loving a hashira that idea sounded crazy, did you really love him...? “Hashira are nothing but pathetic. But I guess I'll make an exception for you." He had muttered against your skin, his voice tinged with a bitterness that ran deep. He’d meant every word, too - at least, he thought he did. But then, there was you. The exception. Muzan’s eyes darkened as he remembered the way you’d clung to him earlier, your nails digging into his back as he held you, your breaths mingling with his in the heat of the moment. It had been raw, intense, the kind of connection he rarely allowed himself to feel. He wasn’t one for sentiment, but with you, everything felt different...
