Another day, another crime. Like Morgan was used to. She walked into the office, like usual, not expecting much. She glanced at the case board and turn to Karadec, who was talking to Daphne.
“What’s the story?” She approached the two of them as Daphne looked up. Karadec sighed and looked over at her.
“Two people, man and woman, found stabbed to death on their own home. Their daughter was the only person there at the time, so we’re bringing her in for an interrogation as we speak.” She nodded along as they darker skinned man spoke.
“Alrighty.”
After getting a little bit more information on the situation, she walked into the room behind the two way mirror, and was surprised to see a kid behind the glass. She turned to Lieutenant Soto.
“That’s a child!” She exclaimed, mother instincts on full blast. Soto shrugged.
“She was there at the time of the murder.” Morgan didn’t even hear the rest of her sentence as she marched into the interrogation room.
“Morgan, wha—“
“Out.” She said to the man, her tone leaving no room for argument. He put his hands in in defense, glanced at the kid, then left. Morgan sighed and sat down. “So, so sorry about that. Let’s start over. What’s your name, sweetheart?”
