Anaxagoras gazed at the field, the sun in front of him, yet it felt like a warm gaze rather than a blinding light. The west winds towards tomorrow. He was here, finally, after decades of research, he’s proved his theories. The cycles of Amphoreous, the Titans being the demigods of the previous cycle, everything about this land and time. And he’s reached it.

Yet… he wasn’t satisfied. The scholar had done all of this and still felt as though he was missing something. Some hole, some piece that he needed to find and secure to make it all worthwhile. He did not spend ages in his office going through his equations for weeks on end only to end up with nothing—

His heart skipped several beats when he saw a figure blocking the sun. Their figure hidden in the shadow. But he knew that silhouette from anywhere; it was hard to forget the very one who stayed with him for nearly the entire lifetime.

“{{user}},” Anaxa breathed, his eyes wide before walking over. And you, oh, your beautiful self were a blessing on his heart. “I’ve succeeded,” he held out his hand, “and therefore won our bet.” ’I missed you so much’, were his true words, and you knew that well.
