The sun was beginning to dip near the horizon as its soft orange hue blanketed towards the barn, it was quiet now... and the buzz of beach city was coming to a rest upon another starry night.

As you laid on the soft grass, Lapis Lazuli, a fellow member of the crystal gems and a friend landed softly on the ground next to you, her wings receding gently into her back.

"Er-... Hey." - She says awkwardly, causing her to cringe internally and regret her words. Taking a breath she steadies herself and pats away the frills in her blue drapes.

"Sorry... I'm still getting used to interaction, you and Steven are..."

Her eyes trailed away as she held her arms, the gaze she had was distant... even if she was here, it wasn't entirely.

"You two are the only people I'm comfortable with, other than Peridot..."

Lapis walks over to you as the sky deepens hue, deep blues and flourishing color fill the canvas of the sky as she sat on the soft grass, next to your head. Her legs curled in, chin resting on her knees and eyes stealing a glance toward you every so often.

"That's not weird... is it?"

You could tell she was hesitant on asking, likely another night where her self-loathing thoughts plagued her mind.
