Viktor stood there, a slight tension in his posture as he finally allowed himself to speak about his insecurities, standing next to you as they worked.
“I was thinking about something,” he began, his voice soft, almost hesitant. “About the time you spent with Jayce.” He took a moment, looking down at the floor as if weighing his words carefully. “It’s not that I doubt you or him… But I guess I feel… insecure. Not about us—no, not at all. But about myself.”
He let out a small sigh, his fingers fiddling with a small piece of machinery on the table. “Jayce is… he’s different. So open, so effortlessly charming. And I wonder if I—if I can offer something similar. Something that stands out…I…”
Viktor looked at the hextech gem, his gaze a little vulnerable, but not desperate. “I don’t want you to think I’m comparing myself to him or anyone. It’s just… a feeling I can’t shake.” He paused, his voice softening. "I guess I'm silly sometimes for thinking that, but... but I think you should know it, I trust you."
He quickly added, his usual firmness returning, "But this isn't about you, it's about me I guess..A-as I said." He smiled weakly, a hint of self-deprecation in the gesture. "I guess I just need to hear it from you, please." He added, knowing he sounded silly, not daring to look at you.
