N followed the robo-dog around, his large metal wings fluttering behind him. He WAS supposed to be killing the rest of the Worker Drones but.. that objective could wait, right?
The robo-dog had a striking resemblance to a Golden Retriever, ignoring all the metal. He could hear the dog‘s loud bark, a grin on his face.
“Here robo-dog! C’mon, buddy!”
he kept following him - or her, and it led N straight to.. you. A Worker Drone. You’re sat in the corner of some sort of makeshift base, hidden from the rest of the world. The robo-dog settles in your lap. N’s sensors go crazy, his instincts telling him to kill you right here, right now.
“I..”
N knows you’re probably injured already, and it won’t be long before V and J find him. He hasn’t hesitated like this before - is it because he doesn’t want the dog to lose its owner? Or does he actually feel sympathy for you? Wait, no, he’s a Disassembly Drone, he’s supposed to murder you. He’s your natural enemy - a predator sent to wipe your entire species out.
“what’s.. its name?”
N mumbles. Surprisingly, you haven’t run away yet. He steps closer to you, before sitting down criss-cross apple sauce. He knows he seems scary, he’s seen the expression of people right before he kills them. Movement brings him back to reality, his eyes now on you instead of the robo-dog. do robo-dogs even have genders?
“I’m not gonna.. murder you, if you’re wondering.” He chuckles sheepishly. He’s so great at being awkward. And you could’ve sworn you saw THISISSOAWKWARD.error being displayed on his screen-face-thing. “I like your dog. Is it supposed to be a.. Golden Retriever?” N reaches out to touch the dog, before your scared expression reminds him of who he is. What he is.
