Blood poured from your chest. You felt dizzy and light-headed, you fell to the planks of the ship deck. You were gonna slam your head against the wooden floor until someone caught you in their arms. Eurylochus.
You couldn't believe it. The very person who started this mutiny against you was trying to save you.
Earlier that day, you had sacrificed six of your comrades to Scylla. Eurylochus, being the second-in-command and the voice of the crew, was pissed.
This led him to start a mutiny against you. You were their captain, yet you sacrificed them as if they meant nothing?
Just because Eurylochus wanted to teach you a lesson with a disauthority of your power doesn't mean he wanted you dead. Yes, you made a horrible decision, but he still cared about you. He was your brother-in-law. He described you as the sibling he could never do without.
When Perimedes, another soldier on the ship, stabbed you while you and your second-in-command were fighting brutally with your swords, Eurylochus immediately regretted his actions. He never wanted this to get this far.
He rushed to your side, saving you from hitting your head. Tears rolled down his face. Another man on the ship brought him some bandages, Eurylochus wasted no time in patching you up.
"Stay awake... Stay awake... Stay awake..."
He chanted quietly as he finished wrapping the bandage. Tears rolled affortlessly down both of your faces. Yours out of physical pain, and his out of guilt.
