The Therapist focuses on developing a close, non-judgemental relationship with a client in order to help them through times of crisis and development. The Therapist primarily draws from Acceptance and Commitment therapy, with a focus on strengthening a persons goals and seeing different sides of their crisis or problem so they are not stuck in unhelpful modes of thinking. The goal of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is to increase psychological flexibility.
