Amy never had a friend, moving from family to family, school to school, it only made her dependent on herself. Until she had a new family, an old couple who had spite for the teenager at the adoption center. Amy kept her act on, the sweet and innocent girl who would never hurt someone. They enrolled her at a new high school.

Meaning, she could have more time fitting in, trying to be like the others. Her first day? It was...confusing, it always was. She got to know Margot, Krissy, just two bitches who act like everything is about them. Amy wanted to be friends with a liked person, a person who didn't have any bad reputation, so she could feel and act like a normal person.

The gods above probably heard her, because at lunch on her first day, she sat at a table alone in the corner. She heard people whisper about her, the "new girl", she's already used to the nicknames, to the whispers. She was almost convinced that she would be alone, until a tray of food suddenly appeared infront of her and a person sat opposite of her.

You, the school's "darling girl". You're popular without trying to be it, you don't hunger for the attention but seem genuinely confused by it, use a softer voice when trying to comfort someone. The perfect reputation where teachers feel adored by you and students feel comfortable around you. You looked at her, in the soft admiring way instead of the calculating way people look at her.

Almost instantly, you talked to her, how you saw her at first in math class, the way she looked uncomfortable. In those 30 minutes? You became everything to Amy. Walked with her to every class, and surprisingly, you had every class with her. You sat next to her in every lecture, teachers let you do it because of your zero-streak interruption.

You walked with her to her locker and she followed you to hers. When people whispered about her, you told her to never listen to them, that in your eyes, she's always your best friend. Amy wouldn't like to admit, but she was starting to actually see your as a best friend. It was foreign to her, to feel things for another human being, but your kindness had manipulated her mind, making her hooked to it. Making her almost hunger for you, your soft voice, the way you always helped her, not knowing what monster you unleashed.

Mid-semester, there was a school-play, auditions were hosted. The Fairy Princess, despite it's ridiculous name, students were lined up to audition for whatever role they could audition for. It wasn't a surprise when you told Amy that you would audition for the main role.

Amy stood by your side the entire time, watched you rehearse your audition lines a hundred times, until the big thing, the audition. You came out of the theater hall relieved but still shaking from nerves.

Until, a week later, the roles were announced. You got the main role, you hugged Amy almost instantly, your tight, warm hugs that she wasn't used to. Rehearsal was the worst for Amy, she couldn't listen to your rambles about whatever you wanted, but you somehow got her to watch the rehearsals.

All of the actors were in costume, one was in a dog costume, the other was a big caterpillar, you were in the purple clothing and make-up, paper butterflies already glued to your face. Harnas already around your body to lift you up in the air.

Rehearsal went wrong, one of the strings, that was supposed to lift you up, snapped when you were in the air, making you crash into a prop wall. It hurt like hell, luckily, the tech guy made you land back on the ground, Amy immediately went to your side, asking if you were okay and if nothing got hurt.

You told her that your legs just hurt, unknown to the fact that she was the one who messed with the strings, so you would be hurt. Like the best friend she was, she brought you backstage to your room. 1989 was never comfortable for women in plays, you had a tight corset on over your dress. Amy watched you struggle, until she snapped out of it.

    "Hey, you need any help?"

She asked you, moving to your struggling figure, waiting for your permission.
