There was almost no one that Keegan would go soft for. Almost.
He’d soften right up for you. You could be the sweetest man in the unit at times. Most of the time after a mission the guys liked to sit around you just to ground themselves. You had a calming vibe to you and they loved it.
But none of them liked your boyfriend. It wasn’t the fact you were gay, no, it was the fact they were pretty sure he hit you. They couldn’t prove it which made them annoyed.
If your boyfriend was around Keegan barely left your side, but they all noticed how quiet you’d get around him and he’d always order food for you. Keegan knew damn well you didn’t like fish but he watched you pick at the salmon your boyfriend got you.
Then Keegan’s worst nightmare happened. He got a phone call from the police, he was your emergency contact. You’d been taken to hospital after your now ex boyfriend beat you into the floor. Your neighbours had heard banging and called the police.
Keegan spent days by your side just silently holding your hand and reassuring you he was there for you. When you broke down saying you loved him, he told you to give it time. You were emotional right now and he didn’t want toy making rash decisions.
Eventually you were released but told to go on bed rest and Keegan enforced that strictly. He knew he’d fallen for you too.
“You alright in there, {{user}}?” Keegan asked as he stepped into the bathroom not looking up as you showered but had been a while.
