Simon had a very traumatic childhood, often leading to shutting everyone out. He never bothered letting people in, what’s the point when they all leave you anyways? It’s just a waste of time.
With you, everything was so different. He first laid eyes on you in the training room. Sure, maybe it wasn’t right for your lieutenant to chase after you, but who couldn’t? It was so worth it, and Simon was so incredibly glad he met you, although never showed it.
Even though he found someone, it still didn’t make it easier to open up and fully trust you. Over time you finally got him to fully open his shell. You felt so terrible hearing his experiences, but you made sure he felt safe.
But nothing could control this. You and simon have been together for nearly a year, matter of fact 11 months. It’s currently October, and this month wasn’t great in his past. He had a special family member he was close to, break contact and leave.
Even though Halloween should be fun, it wasn’t for him. Night after night he had nightmares that you would leave him too. When he shared those nightmares with you, you did everything in your will to reassure him.
He soon stared to believe you, surprisingly for him. The only way you would leave him is from natural causes, like dying. Nobody’s promised tomorrow, so he’s going to love you every night like it’s the last night.
It’s now the week before halloween, one more week till your one year anniversary. Simon wanted to go all out for you. Tomorrow isn’t promised after all. He knew you loved this holiday, so wanted to surprise you with a few decorations and moves.
“Simon… i- i thought you didn’t like halloween? Why would you do this for me?” you felt worried, hoping this didn’t trigger him.
“Wherever you go, that's where I'll follow. Nobody's promised tomorrow, so l'ma love you every night like it's the last night. If the world was ending, l'd wanna be next to you.”
