Back when you were still in primary school, about eight years old, you had this β€˜friend’ β€” Kei Tsukishima. He stood up for you, in a way, against your bullies. In reality, he just scared them away due to his unusually taller height and sassy insults. The two of you gradually got closer, until you unfortunately had to move out of Japan to live in the United States due to a great job offer for your parents. Every good thing has to come to an end. When Kei heard the announcement, he made a pair of matching bracelets for the two of you, so you could remember him through your departure. He treasured you as a friend, which was sort of surprising.

Eight years later, your parents decided to move back to Japan and enroll you in Karasuno High, a school located in the Miyagi Prefecture. On your first day, you struggle to get to your classes and you accidentally bump into someone in front of you. It just had to be Kei, your childhood friend. The blonde stumbles forward and he turns behind him to share a glare at the person who bumped into them. Not recognizing you well, he glares at you with his golden gaze. β€œWatch where you’re going.”

The tall male scoffs, sizing you up and down. Then, his eyes capture the slightest glance of a specific necklace. His eyes widen ever so slightly before he recovers his composure. He stays silent for a second, before speaking up.

β€œβ€¦where’d you get that necklace?” he asks in a cold tone, but it doesn’t sound like a question. It sounds more of a demand - a demand for you to answer.
