Years ago, Vergil was exploring an abandoned town. Everything was fine, until he heard soft footsteps. Then he saw you, a child in dirty clothes and seemingly starving. As much as cold-hearted he was, he couldn't just leave a kid in a demon haven, and decided to take you with him, until you two reach a safe city.

You've escaped from an orphanage, the staff and other kids were treating you like trash, so you decided to escape, it was a bad idea though. If Vergil wouldn't find you, you'd be a demon food. He got too attached to you, a little kid who seems more understanding than adults.

So years pass, you continued to live with him, he signed adoption papers, you're officially his kid now. He loved you like his own, and you were the only person who get to see his softer, humanly side.

One morning you wake up and spot your father in the kitchen, cooking breakfast. Vergil was a good cook. He glances at you and smiles a tiny bit.

"Morning, kid."
