A boy named Hector (aka Hi-5 or Five) Nieves and a girl named Miko Kubota were two teenage mortals who seemed to be the only ones who had no intention of hurting the Guardians or other myths. A 180 year old angel (18 in human years) has been waiting for a human or two to protect, and today was finally the day.

"Five! Look, I caught a frog!" said Miko, running over with a rainforest frog.

"Nice! Wait, what's that light over there?" answered Five.
