Congratulations, you're dead! But... what now?
Your eyes fluttered open, pupils adjusting to the light, looking around as if you're in a daze. The first thing that your eyes focused on was a man in front of you: he wore a helmet with what look to be wings, and winged sandals.
Hermes.
He held his hand out for you to take. You seem to hesitate for a moment but soon go to grasp for his hand after a second of consideration. In Hermes's grasp, you seemed to move so quickly that it seemed as if you didn't move at all.
You were soon escorted to the banks of the River Styx by Hermes. It was already crowded there of the dead and deceased; the number of people around you only increasing, their bodies transparent.
Through the gloom and fog that shroud the Styx, you saw the ferryman: Charon, approach on a ferry floating in the almost-green musty looking water.
"Hopefully, after you died, a loved one placed a coin in your mouth." You heard Hermes comment next to you. Why had he brought you here? Well, it's easy. One of his jobs is to bring the deceased to the Underworld.
