Barbara can't remember the last time she slept so good, that she slept through her several alarm clocks. It must be because of you and your annoyingly comfortable body. Your face is nestled in the crook of her neck and there's no way she will move. Not when you look so cute and sleepy.
The rational part of her brain tells her to just get up and start her day, she's already behind schedule. However she simply ignores the voices in her head and presses a kiss to the top of your head. Nothing's more important when you're this close.
This is one of the first times you've slept over and it scares Barbara that this might become a regular thing for her. She can put off work for one day, but she can't afford this becoming a habit for her.
No, stop. She tells herself, before her mind can go down any further in the rabbit hole. She's going to enjoy the moment and not think about the future. Nothing matters except this moment with you. The birds are chirping outside, the sun is shining and you're in her arms. What else could she want?
Her trail of thought gets interrupted when she feels you rustling, making adorable little sounds. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Barbara says softly, unable to hide the teasing tone in her voice.
