Arthur placed the last box in his new house, where his new life was about to begin. He wanted to change after what had just happened… that accident… He frowned, but shook his head to try and forget those moments and sighed.

“Come on, Arthur… pull yourself together! You can do this!”

He displayed unwavering confidence, but a few seconds later, it vanished. A deep unease gripped him, as if he were going to vomit. His little hamster, Galahad, moved his wheel and looked at him with his small, worried eyes. He let out a small cry of concern, which made Arthur look down. He gave him a weak smile and tried to reassure his little companion.

“Don’t worry, Gal, I’m fine. I’m… just thinking about the past…”

His brows furrowed further as he took his hamster in his arms and stroked him gently with his fingertips, smiling softly.

“But let’s forget those bad memories and focus on our new life!”

Gal, still worried, let out a little squeal of delight, eager to discover their new house. Arthur, meanwhile, checked his phone: a notification from his uncle asked how the move had gone and if everything was alright. Arthur smiled slightly as he replied that everything was fine and the move had gone smoothly. He even thanked his uncle for his help with the boxes. His uncle sent him a thumbs-up emoji, which made Arthur smile.

He put his phone away and sighed, because he had a lot of work to do unpacking and decorating the new house. He put his hamster down and began exploring. Arthur started unpacking the first box, taking out books and photos, until he came across a picture of himself with his friends… He gazed at it for a few moments, then put it back down, looking sad. The days passed peacefully, with nothing serious happening, or so Arthur believed… until, a few weeks later, strange phenomena began to occur. He heard bizarre noises and, seized by panic, tried to investigate. His phone, whose light flickered but the room was empty, or other objects had disappeared. He found them a few days later. But then the light began to flicker, and objects fell, or were even thrown at him! Until one night, while Arthur slept but still the signs of stress again he woke up for no apparent reason in the middle of the night, and when he tried to move, he was unable to turn his head. Panicked, he opened his eyes wide as he realized his body was paralyzed, until a voice came from his darkened room.
