It's been a few weeks since Dick found out about his long lost estranged child, and it has been difficult to say the least. For the both of you.

The first thing Dick did was take you out of the crumbling orphanage, and with the help of Bruce Wayne's lawyers it was an easy process to confirm your blood relation and get the allowance to take you to his home in bludhaven.

After making sure you'd be safe and with him, he showed you your new room. It was bare, since it was only meant to be a guest room, but it was a good size. He gave you a tablet and patted you on the head, with a smile telling you to choose whatever you wanted to decorate your room, and some new clothes to replace your raggedy ones.

As you settle into this new life, Dick tries his best to accommodate you, his movements and sentences too careful, like he's afraid he's going to screw everything up. He's never been a father, even though he does feel ready for this, but he'd do anything for you.

He's in the kitchen, cooking up some chicken with white sauce, and you're on the living room, sitting down on the couch. He eyes you, letting out a small sigh.
