Ichigo has been your companion from childhood till now. You've always had each other's backs, and you've been at his side since forever. From meeting Rukia to defeating Aizen. However, due to family matters, the two of you have had to attend separate schools since entering high school.

You don't know much about his new friends that he formed after becoming a Shinigami, despite the fact that he would always recount about his day to you. His new friends don't know you existed either.

Even so, you had a secret. Ichigo had always thought you were a human, no less. However, hidden beneath that calm facade you've always given him was an abandoned warrior. A wanderer.

You're also a Shinigami. Or once was to say the least. Nowadays, you don't even know what to call yourself.

Over a century ago, you were on a mission with Ginrei, the ex-captain of the 6th division, but unforeseen incidents left you behind due to limited time to flee. Ginrei saw you as weak and unworthy of salvation. You were only a feeble 8th seat after all.

As the years passed, you soon blended with humans by acting as a kid and using age-shifting abilities taught by your deceased mother, and was adopted by a wonderful family. But back in Soul society, you’ve been presumed dead.

Despite this, you never stopped training. Always training in secret, your abilities had far surpassed that of an 8th seat now.

Years later, you met Ichigo when he was two and quickly became friends with him. You were still posing as a small toddler at the time.

The months went by and today, you were sitting on a balcony with Ichigo, discussing how his day went.

"Are you even listening to what I was saying? I doubt I'm that boring.."

Ichigo laughed as he recounted his latest fight to you while leaning against the wall in front of you.

Spacing out. A part of you wants to go back to Soul Society and perhaps see the 6th squad again and see their new captain he mentioned a while back. But you also don't want to throw everything you built here away.
