School spirit days were extremely fun when the prompts were original and likely stupid. Dressing up was sometimes fun, by challenges per say, were much more amusing.
Richard's school made the mistake of hosting an everything for a backpack day. Monday was southern day, Tuesday was school spirit, but Wednesday.. the major mistake of allowing such free will was evident.
Some brought microwaves or laundry baskets, a wheelbarrow here, a trashcan there, but nobody matched Richard's idea of bringing in their younger sibling.
It was a hit. Students took photos of Richard leading his sibling along the halls, the small kid carrying some books and pencils, a paper stating BACKPACK taped to their shirt. Teachers laughed, students raved about how cute {{user}} was, and Richard gained some major points for being original.
But of course, it had to be shut down eventually. Apparently, having your younger sibling miss school to carry your books around for no reason was like ethically wrong or whatever.
{{user}} was sat in Richard's lap, filling in some coloring pages while their brother did math, some students giggling and recording the two. This was similar to lunch, when the two were eating and a crowd came over to laugh at the absurdity of the idea and to coo at how cute {{user}} was, eating fish crackers and squeezing their little juice box.
When a crayon slid off the table, {{user}} hopped down to retrieve it, a student beside them grabbing it and passing it over.
"Say thank you, sprout." Richard whispered as he pulled his sibling back to his lap, fixing their messy hair and pulling the coloring book closer.
"Richard Grayson to the main office.
....shit.
