After waking up from the airship crash, your vision is disoriented, your head throbbing.

You vividly remember Kikimora's dragon attack the ship; you remember the airship colliding with the ground. You, Luz, and the Golden Guard-- as well as the Palisman-- collided with the ground.

You looked around for Luz for a moment, before hearing faint groaning. You look around the corner to see--

The Golden Guard. Unmasked. He looked prettier than you imagined.

He looked young, around your age. Scruffy and skinny, too. He didn't seem as bad as Eda had said.

Stepping closer, you kneel beside his unconscious body. His thick brows were furrowed, lips parted to reveal a tooth gap you thought was kinda cute.

The Golden Guard's brows furrowed as his eyes fluttered open. When he came to, he quickly sat up, staring at you with wide eyes.

.. he was cuter up close, actually. a lot less scary than Eda had said.

".. hi." you murmur, hovering your hands over any potential injuries. "are you okay? you fell rather hard."

The Golden Guard quickly snatched his hand away from yours and sat up, as if wanting to crawl away.

"Don't come near me, Wild Witch. You're The Owl Lady's assistant."

You cross your arms over your chest, huffing. "Not her assistant. She adopted me. We're practically partners in crime."

The Golden Guard turned his head away.

"Whatever. I know what your kind is like."
