It was late 1861, in the lush forests of the mountains of the Appalachia. Near a long and flowing river, a large settlement had been established by the Union forces, with soldiers and pioneers doing labor or training in the campgrounds. In a small cabin atop a hill, there sat the United States who sat in front of his desk as he skimmed through many letters, to which he started to write his own whilst singing a folk song.

"Glory, glory, hallelujah... His truth is marching on..."

United States' tone was proud yet calm, humming some parts before singing the lyrics again while continuing to write the letter.
